SARONG Spa is an italian company established in 1972 in Reggiolo (RE), in the middle of the so-called Packaging Valley (just 45 minutes from Bologna Airport), soon becoming the market leader for suppository and liquid single serve Form, Fill & Seal (FFS) packaging machines, as well as a converter of plastic films for the pharmaceutical market.

In 1998 the Bartoli family took over the company and in 1999 Sarong introduced Form, Fill & Seal machines for single serve also for the Food & Beverage, Home & Personal Care and Coffee markets.

R&D for packaging innovation became the first priority and providing tailor-made smart solutions for our customers has since become part of SARONG’s mission and main growth enhancer.

SARONG R&D Dept. specialists are knowledgeable experts of both machines and packaging materials, so they are ready to proactively collaborate with our customers for any innovative projects.

We have a dedicated R&D organization with experienced and skilled personnel and a facility with testing devices, pilot tools, coffee brewing machines and testing/lab equipments.

Sarong has been created around a business model which is different from all other competitors, as it is based on its 3 synergistic activities:

1) Design, manufacturing and sale of automatic packaging machines for single-serve for the following markets: Pharmaceutical - Food & Beverage - Coffee, Tea & Solubles - Home & Personal Care (HPC);

2) Converting and sale of packaging films to be used on FFS and Fill & Seal packaging machines;

3) Contract Manufacturing / Contract Packing Services for single-serve products.

The above mentioned synergistic business model is part of Sarong’s value proposal, and the reason why Sarong is different and offers more to its customers, as we design the machine we sell, we convert the films to be processed onto the same machines we sell and we operate in our factory for contract manufacturing and contract packing purposes.
