BIOTESTLAB company, one of the largest Ukrainian exporters of veterinary drugs, has expanded its export geography by starting deliveries to Uzbekistan. To date, the first batch of POLIMUN poultry vaccines has been delivered to the address of the local distributor Biomedical Innovation.
The products of the Ukrainian manufacturer are represented in more than 20 countries, in particular in the MENA region (Middle East/North Africa) and in Central Asia. In total, more than 25 drugs under TM BioTestLab are sold on international markets. A significant part of them falls on vaccines for poultry of the POLIMUN line, vaccines for pigs of the SUIMUN line, as well as drugs for productive and domestic animals. Products are sold by local distributors and are also purchased through tenders by government agencies.
"We have found a way to fulfill export contracts, and enter new promising markets," – says Olena Saliy, CEO of BIOTESLAB Ltd. – "Last year, the President of Uzbekistan signed a decree on reducing taxation in poultry farming and providing a direct subsidy for every egg sold and each kilogram of poultry meat. Given this, the industry has received an impetus to development, and there is a need for high-quality and affordable veterinary drugs."
To date, the company has registered five live vaccines in Uzbekistan: against infectious bronchitis of chickens (POLIMUN IB MULTI, POLIMUN IB H120), Gumboro disease (POLIMUN IBD), Newcastle disease (POLIMUN ND Clone 124) and the vaccine POLIMUN ND Clone 124 + IB H120.
"We have already made the first delivery of products, we are working on the next orders," – adds Olena Saliy. "In particular, we plan to submit three more drugs for registration in the near future."
According to CEO of BIOTESTLAB Ltd., Biomedical Innovation has become a partner of the Ukrainian manufacturer in the Uzbek market: "Negotiations began in the spring. This is a dynamic company, an expert in laboratory services for poultry farms, livestock farms, and veterinary clinics. Last year, they made a strategic decision to develop vaccine distribution to provide customers with turnkey solutions. And we are ready to contribute to this".
Over the past five years, BIOTESTLAB has quadrupled its exports. The geography of deliveries has increased by 8 times, to more than 20 countries.
"At the end of 2021, the Lebanese market was opened. We are negotiating with partners from Pakistan, we are looking for distributors in Latin America, and we are planning to open a representative office in Vietnam", – Olena Saliy emphasized. "All this is in line with our development strategy, which involves the transformation of BIOTESTLAB into an international company, which will make Ukraine one of the key suppliers of veterinary drugs in the world".
