The recently developed filling and closing machine, model FVF 5062, manufactured by Bausch+Ströbel is a universal machine for filling and closing vials and similar stable containers made of glass or plastic at an output of up to 18000 containers/h. As the number of transport positions can be reduced as required, the processing range is very large and the dose dispensed can be anywhere between 0.15 ml and 500 ml. The containers are conveyed through the work area in an intermittent motion by a walking beam system which handles the containers particularly gently.
A further special feature: 100 percent In-Process Control is possible without performance loss. The IPC is carried out by weighing tare and gross weights. Both liquid and powder products can be processed on this machine. For metering liquid products, high-grade dosing systems are available such as valveless rotary piston pumps, time/pressure dosing or peristaltic pumps (here disposable process equipment can be used). Powders are filled with a versatile precision auger system.
