The processor WFP-8 is a high-grade technical unit to develop formulations as well as to produce sample amounts in batch operations.
It is possible to produce amounts of 100 g to 5 kg in many different processes.
Warm, filtered air, which passes the fluidized bottom, is sucked in by a fan into the processor. The powder inside the container begins to fluidize and gets moistened by an integrated two-component spray nozzle. The integrated filters are holding back the powder particles, which are led back into the process by a permanent cleanoff of the filters. Due to the moistening of the particle surfaces and its simultaneous drying, the powder particles stick together and form free-flowing agglomerates.
It is also possible to dry wet products (production by wet granulation) in the apparatus. Besides, the coating of powders and/or granules is possible, too.
The mobile system consists of 3 principal parts: The processor, the air conditioning and the control unit.
The processor consists of the air intake part, a material container with spray nozzles and specific fluidized bottom, a exhaust air part with pneumatically cleaned filters made of stainless steel or synthetic material.
The air conditioning part contains an air filter, a heat exchanger for warming up the air, a frequency controlled fan and the exhaust air safety filter.
The control unit features a SPS-control with display and contains all the electric safety installations, controls and displays of all parameters which are relevant for the process.
